The short version: we only collect what we need to reply to you and run our free tools, we never sell your data, we don't keep your profile check screenshots, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
Inamigo is a trading name of Future Faced Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13754670), at Farlyn House, Gaters Mill, Southampton SO18 3HW, United Kingdom. We're the controller of the personal data described in this notice.
If you have any questions, email us at hello@inamigo.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us through the site, plus a small amount of technical information.
- When you apply to work with us: your name, email, website, LinkedIn profile link, what you sell, your typical client value, where your clients are and how you heard about us.
- When you use the free profile check: your first name, email and the screenshots you upload. Claude reads the screenshots to score your profile, and we keep the report it produces (see below).
- When you download the profile guide: your first name and email.
- When you join the 10 posts in 10 days course: your email, your first name if you give it, the date you joined and how far through the course you are.
- When you use the hook builder, idea engine or story inspiration: what you type into the form, so we can generate suggestions.
- When you email us: whatever you include in your message.
- Technical information: your IP address and basic browser details, which our hosting provider uses to deliver the site and keep it secure. We use a one-way fingerprint of your IP address to limit how often the free tools can be used.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites, and it doesn't identify you: visits are counted in aggregate.
How we use it
- To reply to your application and, if it's a fit, arrange a call and work with you. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To score your profile and email you the report, and to let our founder see a summary of each check so he can follow up if it's useful. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked for and growing our business.
- To send you the profile guide and the course emails you signed up for. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every course email or by emailing us.
- To generate suggestions in the free writing tools. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked for.
- To keep the site secure and stop the free tools being misused. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our costs.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. The profile check score is automated, but it's a piece of advice, not a decision about you.
Profile check screenshots
Your screenshots are sent to Anthropic's Claude to be scored and are then discarded. We don't save them anywhere. We do keep:
- the report produced from them (your score, the area scores and the advice), for 30 days, so we can send it to you again if you ask;
- a one-way fingerprint of your email address, for two years, so we can keep the check to one per person;
- a one-way fingerprint of the screenshot with its report, for 7 days, so the same image isn't scored twice.
Please only upload screenshots of your own profile, or one you have permission to share.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site. They only process your data on our instructions:
- Vercel, which hosts the website and provides our cookie-free page view counts.
- Upstash, which stores course progress, profile check reports and usage limits.
- Resend, which sends our emails.
- Anthropic, which provides the AI behind the profile check and the free writing tools. Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models, and may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring under its own policies.
- Krystal, which hosts our email inboxes.
Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, we rely on recognized safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
- Applications and emails: for as long as we're in touch about working together, and up to two years after our last contact, unless we become clients, in which case we keep records as long as the law requires.
- Profile check: reports for 30 days, the email fingerprint for two years, screenshots not at all.
- Course: while the course runs, then for one year after it ends or you unsubscribe, so we don't email you again by mistake.
- Guide downloads: in our inbox for up to two years.
- Writing tools: we don't keep what you type. Usage counters expire within a day.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send your data to you or another organization in a portable format;
- stop sending you course emails (or just use the unsubscribe link).
Email hello@inamigo.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
If you're in the United States, we don't sell or share personal information for advertising, and you can ask us to access or delete your data in the same way.
Cookies
We only use two small cookies, and neither tracks you:
- country: remembers which country you're browsing from (based on your IP address) so we can show prices in your currency. It lasts 30 days.
- inamigo_case_access: set only if you enter the password for a private case study, so you don't have to enter it again. It lasts 30 days.
Our page view counts don't use cookies. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
Children
Our site and services are for business owners and aren't aimed at anyone under 18.
